Ophthalmology
Dr. Dwyer has a special interest in equine Ophthalmology. She evaluates cases that are referred to GVEC with advanced diagnostic equipment including tonometry, slit lamp biomicroscopy and direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy. Standing surgeries for corneal and periocular problems are routinely performed at GVEC, as is enucleation under injectable anesthesia. Dr. Dwyer works closely with referring veterinarians to provide counseling on the management of chronic conditions, and also consults with board certified ophthalmologists on complicated cases.
